3. Receive confirmation
Once the quote is confirmed, we will send you the rental summary with payment, deposit, pickup and return details.

4. Fill out the Rental Form
Fill out the Rental Form with the details needed for the contract and any pickup authorization.

5. Pick up at our location
The day before production, from 5:00 PM onwards, come to Via Capo di Lucca, 12 – 40126 Bologna:
• sign the delivery note and contract
• load the equipment

6. Enjoy your production
We remain available for anything you need.

Remember that you can pick up from 5:00 PM the day before and return by 11:00 AM the day after at no additional cost. Pickup and return are understood to be at Maya Rent's premises in Bologna.

Pickup Authorization

1. Prices are for a single rental day, unless stated otherwise in the quote, the product page or a written agreement between the parties.

2. The rental starts at pick-up and ends on the agreed return date: the equipment must be returned by 11:00 to the same address, and partial returns are not accepted. Pick-ups and returns outside opening hours (09:30–13:00 and 14:00–18:00) must be requested in advance and approved in writing. Early return does not entitle you to a refund or reduction, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

3. Equipment is collected from and returned to Maya Rent’s operating office in Bologna, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Delivery or collection by courier, carrier or other agent is agreed in advance and its costs are borne by the client; if the client arranges the transport, the risks of transport, loading, unloading, storage, loss or damage are also theirs, unless attributable to Maya Rent. Mandatory consumer-protection rules remain unaffected.

4. A booking is confirmed when the quote is accepted, the Rental Agreement is signed, the price or deposit is paid even in part, or by any other written confirmation from the client. Before handover Maya Rent requires the Rental Agreement and its annexes (equipment list and values, ID document) to be signed, and the Delivery Note (DDT) is signed at pick-up.

5. Payment is due before or at pick-up, unless agreed otherwise in writing. In case of missing or late payment, including for previous rentals, Maya Rent may suspend delivery or refuse new rentals until the balance is paid in full.

6. The client may cancel only in writing. For rentals under € 1,000.00, cancellation is free up to 48 hours before pick-up or delivery; between 48 and 24 hours before, a 50% penalty on the total price applies; with less than 24 hours’ notice or failure to collect, 100%. For rentals of € 1,000.00 or more, cancellation is free if notified more than 7 days before; from 7 to 3 days before, a 50% penalty applies; within the last 3 days or failure to collect, 100%. The deposit is not included in the penalty and any excess paid is refunded within 10 working days. Documented further damage may be claimed.

7. At pick-up a security deposit of 30% of the total value of the equipment stated in the agreement is paid, unless a different amount is agreed in writing. The deposit secures rental fees, penalties, damage, missing items, delays, costs and any other amount due from the client.

8. Maya Rent checks the equipment within 48 working hours of the return and refunds the deposit within 5 working days of completing the check, less any amounts due. If a technical diagnosis or repair quote is needed, the necessary part may be withheld until the amount is determined. Signing the return form does not prevent later claims for damage or missing items that the ordinary check could not detect.

9. The client has custody of the equipment from handover until Maya Rent accepts the return and is liable for damage, breakage, theft, robbery, loss, fire, destruction and failure to return, including accessories, cables, batteries, power supplies, cases, packaging, adapters, filters and supports. In case of theft, robbery, loss or fire, a police report must be filed within 24 hours and a copy sent to Maya Rent within the same deadline. For lost or irreparable items, the Replacement-as-New Value stated in the agreement applies.

10. Equipment must be used correctly, following the manufacturer’s instructions and safety rules, by competent staff. Opening, tampering with, modifying, dismantling or having the equipment repaired without Maya Rent’s written authorisation is forbidden. In case of a fault or malfunction, the client stops using it immediately and notifies Maya Rent in writing within 12 hours.

11. Sub-renting, transferring or lending the equipment to third parties without Maya Rent’s written authorisation is forbidden (use by the project’s crew is not sub-rental). Equipment must be kept in closed premises and not left unattended in vehicles parked on the street or in areas open to the public, except for the time needed for loading and unloading. Use in risky conditions (rain, snow, sand, water, sea, smoke, fire, special effects, vehicles, drones, boats, cranes or other special set-ups) requires written authorisation. Equipment must be returned clean, complete and packed in its original cases: otherwise € 30.00 (plus VAT) may be charged for each item or kit that needs cleaning or re-packing.

12. When the replacement-as-new value of the equipment exceeds € 5,000.00, insurance cover in favour of Maya Rent is required for handover: through Maya Rent’s All Risks policy with Chubb (0.198% of the value for Italy/EU, 0.396% non-EU, per 10 days or part, plus taxes, minimum € 10.00 per project) or through the client’s own policy accepted by Maya Rent. Up to € 5,000.00 cover is optional, unless Maya Rent requests it in writing. Premiums, excesses and uncovered amounts are borne by the client.

13. For late returns, for each day or part of a day, the agreed daily rate is due plus a penalty of 50% of the daily rate, with a minimum of € 100.00, without prejudice to documented further damage. In case of damage, theft, loss, non-payment, misuse or breach of the terms, Maya Rent may withhold all or part of the deposit, claim the amounts due and, where the agreement provides, terminate it. The agreement is governed by Italian law; for professional clients the Court of Bologna has jurisdiction, for consumers the court provided by law.

Introduction and acceptance of the rental agreement
These Terms and Conditions summarise the main rental terms and do not replace Maya Rent’s Film Equipment Rental Agreement, which fully governs the relationship and prevails in case of conflict, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules. The Aputure Light Dome 150 is a large 150cm (5-foot) parabolic softbox with Bowens speedring, two front diffusers and a fabric grid, designed to soften the source, increase light wrap and better control the contrast on the subject. Thanks to the diffusing surface and, where available, the honeycomb grid, it is particularly useful for portraits, interviews, beauty, fashion, and corporate productions.

This type of softbox helps achieve more elegant and controlled light, reducing spill and harsh shadows and making the setup more refined in video and photography. Available in our cinema lighting rental service in Bologna, it is an essential accessory to complete a professional lighting kit.

Where can I find the contract I will sign for the rental?

Is a deposit required?

Yes: at handover you pay a security deposit of 30% of the total equipment value, unless a different amount is agreed in writing. It is refunded within 5 working days of completing the return check, minus any amounts due. In case of damage or missing items it may be held until the amount owed has been determined.

I've never used certain equipment. Can I try them?

Call us at 051 1947-0273, and we will help you choose the most suitable equipment to achieve your goal, considering compatibility and budget.

I am a current student. Am I eligible for discounts?

Yes! 10% for audiovisual students. Send your student ID and a document to info@mayarent.com

Can I add items at the time of pickup?

Yes, if available. However, we recommend placing a new order or replying to your confirmation specifying what you'd like to add.

I am a minor, can I rent?

Only if the contract is in the name of a parent/guardian. A signed authorization form is also required on site.

My set is for one day but it's far from Bologna. Do I pay for more days?

Yes, all days the equipment is in use are counted, including for travel.

Can I cancel a confirmed rental?

Yes, by written notice only. For rentals under 1,000 euros: free of charge up to 48 hours before pickup or delivery; between 48 and 24 hours before, 50% of the rental fee is withheld; with less than 24 hours' notice, or no notice, 100%. For rentals of 1,000 euros or more: free of charge more than 7 days before; between 7 and 3 days before, 50% is withheld; in the last 3 days, or with no notice, 100%.

Is insurance included?

No, insurance is not included in the rental price. It is mandatory when the replacement-as-new value of the equipment exceeds 5,000 euros: you can activate All Risks cover under Maya Rent's Chubb policy (premium 0.198% of the insured value for Italy/EU or 0.396% for non-EU countries, per 10-day period or part thereof, plus taxes, with a minimum of 10 euros per project) or provide your own policy accepted by Maya Rent. Below 5,000 euros it is optional, unless Maya Rent requests it. The policy only covers direct physical damage to the equipment, with excesses and deductibles: in any case you remain responsible for damage and theft.
